Key Responsibilities and Activities

• Ragging Prevention: Monitors campus activities, including hostels and common areas, to prevent any form of ragging.
• Awareness Campaigns: Conducts orientation sessions and workshops to educate students about anti-ragging laws and consequences.
• Complaint Mechanism: Provides a confidential reporting system through suggestion boxes, email, and helpline numbers for ragging complaints.
• Swift Action: Investigates reported incidents promptly, ensuring disciplinary action in accordance with UGC and college policies.
• Collaboration: Works with the Women Cell and Counseling Center to support victims and promote a safe campus culture.

In 2024, the Anti-Ragging Committee conducted an “Anti-Ragging Awareness Week” during the orientation for new students, educating over 400 students about ragging laws through interactive sessions and skits. The committee installed suggestion boxes across the campus and publicized a dedicated helpline number, resulting in zero reported ragging incidents in the academic year. Regular patrols by committee members during college events and the academic year ensured a safe environment. The committee also collaborated with local police for a seminar on legal consequences of ragging, enhancing student awareness. The Anti-Ragging Committee’s proactive measures have earned PNP Junior College recognition as a ragging-free institution in Raigad district.

2024 मध्ये, रॅगिंग विरोधी समितीने नवीन विद्यार्थ्यांच्या अभिमुखते दरम्यान “रॅगिंग विरोधी जागरूकता सप्ताह” आयोजित केला, ज्यामध्ये 400 हून अधिक विद्यार्थ्यांना परस्पर संनाद सत्रे आणि नाटकांद्वारे रॅगिंग कायद्यांबाबत शिक्षित केले गेले. समितीने कॅम्पसमध्ये सुझेशन बॉक्स स्थापित केले आणि समर्पित हेल्पलाइन नंबर प्रसिद्ध केला, ज्यामुळे शैक्षणिक वर्षात रॅगिंगच्या शून्य घटना नोंदवल्या गेल्या. महाविद्यालयीन कार्यक्रम आणि शैक्षणिक वर्षादरम्यान समितीच्या सदस्यांनी नियमित गस्त घातल्याने सुरक्षित वातावरण सुनिश्चित झाले. समितीने रॅगिंगच्या कायदेशीर परिणामांवर स्थानिक पोलिसांसह एक परिसंवाद आयोजित केला, ज्यामुळे विद्यार्थ्यांची जागरूकता वाढली. रॅगिंग विरोधी समितीच्या सक्रिय उपाययोजनांमुळे पीएनपी कनिष्ठ महाविद्यालयाला रायगड जिल्ह्यात रॅगिंगमुक्त संस्था म्हणून मान्यता मिळाली आहे.
